Thinking of the year and our great clients
Snow , Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years its on us already. We just got our tax prep packet, you gotta be kidding right? So it got us to thinking about this year 2012.
We really could not have asked for anything better. Wife is happy, kid is healthy and my clients well super fun to photograph.
We met so many awesome people through our business and while we didn’t get a chance to blog about every single session, We sincerely appreciate each and every client of ours. I am so thankful to all of you who chose me to capture your family, wedding, baby or event this past year. This was so much fun! We all had a blast but engagement sessions can be a little stressful, to plan a location, choose outfits, come up with a theme, and coordinate a date with Andrews Photography. Here are a few tips to make the planning process easier.
If you do not already have a dream or vision of you two together it is a bit daunting to come up with something fun to do. Lets take Kathy and Jons engagement session.
Kathy asked us at Andrews Photography what we thought would be fun and yet reflect who they are. Jon owns and runs “Jonny Rock Bikes“. So maybe take a ride on a few vintage bikes. Perhaps ride those bikes down a sun filled street like wanderlust lovers in Italy? Kathy said, sounds like a plan I have the perfect dress for that scenario and Jon has a few bikes too.
Kathy And Jon take a minute to gaze into each others eyes.
Kathy works at Wildwood Lodge as the wedding coordinator, hmm we thought food. Apple trees in our back yard are pretty cool right now, how about a picnic basket wine and a few red apples. Jon said he could swing that because hey it is a sitting down thing right?

Nathan and Wendy a Wedding of fun
Nathan and Wendy a Wedding of fun moments! The Ceremony was at Centennial United Methodist in Roseville. Nice place lots of areas for cool portraits. The hallways always clean and neat without the usual clutter on the walls. Park location was Irvine in Saint Paul very hip and secluded not many people know of this location. You need a permit to park on the street and it does not hurt to get a permit to lock in the location too. Reception was at the Hilton Garden Inn down town Saint Paul. Great place lots of light in the reception area and the ballroom rocks! Butter cream has a neat little account at most hotel locations so do not pass up on the discount of getting their cake for your wedding. The dinner was fantastic, pecan crusted pork loin large pieces and tasty to boot. Elegant, fun and flirty photos of the couple. They even brought a few beach balls to play with at the park.
Great weddings are planned and Wendy was no slouch in this department. She came up with five pages of flavor photos she thought reflected her dream day. Thanks Wendy and Nathan for allowing Andrews Photography to document your day. Here is a preview of some of the retouched images for their album. The website will be up on Saturday this week.
