Personalized Dance Photos of Your Kids

Andrews Photography recently had the opportunity to create some fun dance photos for two of our past clients. Chandler who dances at Woodbury Dance Center and Corrina who practices at Del Monico Dance in Woodbury MN. Both kids would not go to the others dance school photo sessions to do buddy photos.
If you have kids in dance you know about dress rehearsal day and the fast paced photo shoots you get. Your lucky to have your child in front of the camera for those solo shots for a minute. Andrews Photography takes great pride in creating one of a kind images for parents who want more than the standard one pose photos you get at a dance studio shoot. We are looking for parents who would like to celebrate your child’s achievements and get the image that reflects your child’s personality.

Steps to great dance photos

1. Know your child and plan accordingly on the time the shoot takes place
2. Be prepared with the outfit selection prior to the studio session
3. Tell your child its a play date not a photo session, or ask them if they would like to be a paid model for the day. “Models have to do what the photographer asks them”
4. Parents be calm and relaxed kids pick up on your body language, when your stressed they get stressed too.
5. Fill the studio in on what your child responds well too at this stage of their development.

The goal is to maximize a great experience for everyone and create wonderful images to cherish for a lifetime.

Andrews Photography Covers Nolans First Birthday. Nolan was soo cool he picked up his big glasses with the fake nose. Its pretty cool what you can buy for a buck! Nolan said the cake was good and his dog maybe could have some next year. Andrews Photography did a short video clip too. Take a moment and try to remember your first birthday cake…hmm, maybe you should have had a few photos of the event to jog the old brain. When you only go around one time in this life wouldn’t it be nice to be able to relive the happy moments again and again. Babies and kids do the coolest things and you never know what your in for but one things certain enjoy the ride. Nolan is, check out his yellow ride nothing makes him smile like cruisin in his car.

Babies first Birthday, She didnt like the cake

Hi folks, Rod here I got a chance to capture a few great images of one cool kid this weekend on location. Please watch the video, sorry about the bad crop but just had to set the camera on the floor for this take.

Watch out world Bridget tuned one and she does not like cake. Maybe after her party she will be more inclined to like cake. The day was great and Bridget was fantastic she was laughing and playing around. she loves her butterfly and balloons. when her mom blew bubbles she made a few faces. Its pretty cool watching kids find out about life right before your eyes. I wonder if she will remember The portrait sessions. I think back to when I was young and my mom brought us in for a portrait session. All I wanted to do was play with a ball and throw my sisters shoes across the room. I think I was 5 and my sister was 4, I still have that 8×10. My sister with one shoe on and me with a little grin. It was the last time we saw that photographer.
