Family session tips for winter or the warm months,

So many times we see families struggle with what do we do or what do we wear during the session. Here are a few tips to consider when thinking of your family photo session.

1. If you have kids under the age of 18, Get them involved in the theme or location of the family photo session. If children get involved they take ownership and are proud to be at the shoot. Maybe it boils down to just what shirt they get to pick out or what treat they get to do after the family photo session. This works though ask them something get them involved.

2. location and style of clothing is based on who you are as a family and how you would like the end portrait to represent. Keep your clothing choices to solid or large patterns. Your not selling a clothing line so the focus should be the family interaction, don’t forget those smiles too.

3. kids between 2-14 its play time with the family don’t tell them your going to the photographer and you better smile or else. keep it light and fun let Andrews Photography do the work in getting smiles on those kids faces for you.

Andrews Photography hits the jackpot. Glady and Frank were kind enough to invite us into there home to snap a few family portraits of them interacting with there pets. The dogs were on there best behavior or was it just plain good parenting. We walked through what the family did on a day to day basis. Just to see how they all interacted with each other. We all had so much fun with were is the treat find the treat. The dogs went crazy trying to find the milk bone. Sunshine was the winner, good girl. What do dogs dream about, maybe a bone but for sure someone to love them and invite them into there home. They provide so much for each one of us and we have them for so short a time. Love them give them a scratch now and again. How will you remember them as they were. They may do a trick or two, but a look a head tilt that’s what they do. That’s what pulls our heart strings and makes us love them even more.

Sunday was a fantastic day thanks for all that attended the “Portrait Session For Your Pets”. For those who didnt here is a little bit of what we did. Andrews Photography scheduled a open day were you could bring your dogs in for there portrait session. the sitting was free and the owners could order on line. Here a few examples of the great looking canines we had a chance to photograph. What a great bunch of dogs and kudos to there handlers for there excellent control. Dog portrait sessions can get out of hand quickly if you dont have those extra set of hands. We do a open call just one time a year and take private sessions through the year. So please call ahead of time to secure your date and time. Dont forget about those family photos with your family pets too. Andrews photography always keeping an eye on safety and excellence.
