David & Jessica destination wedding. Andrews Photography

David and Jessica’s wedding in Fargo North Dakota. By the way my home town! The Hodo was a creative place to have a few photos taken and the Avalon was the ceremony site and reception. I have added Jessica’s thank you note I think it will describe her day better than I could. These two had lots of energy, David the things you do to make her smile. Thanks again for choosing me to document your day.

“Rod Wilson was recommended to us by our matron of honor and we couldn’t have been happier. Rod’s friendly demure and gregarious attitude made the sometimes tedious activity group photography enjoyable. Rod not only showed professionalism in planning our photos for the day, he also captured every facet of the event. Following his idea to shoot before the wedding ceremony turned out to be a terrific time saver, and we were able to focus more on our guests and the party afterward. Aside from the planning, the execution of the wedding photography was done with creativity and artistic flair. His use of mirrors and lighting gave the photographs an originality seldom seem in other couples wedding photos. And looking back on all of the photographs, it amazed me all of the details he captured. The close ups of the girls putting on jewelery and the photos of our flowers really showed Rod cares a lot about his work. His willingness to try different techniques, such as using a fish-eye lens or capturing motion, reveal an introspective look into the fun of the day. Moreover his intuition on what makes a picture look good, allowed him to pose us so our best was always showing. Wow, did I mention the fun E-session, he drove three hours just to meet with us and go over the days events. Dedication, Drive, Creative, Suffice to say, I would choose Rod again.”

Free Wedding Coverage ok almost free Wedding Coverage! We had to add a base fee of $1500.00-2000.00 based on venue and duration of days.

Here’s the thing: We love shooting weddings. We also love to travel! Anytime, anywhere. But you know how it is…when you’re on vacation you feel like you should be working, or when you’re working you wish you were on vacation! Thankfully, there’s a perfect solution:

DESTINATION WEDDINGS!

Every year we set aside Five weekends exclusively for this “Discounted destination wedding’s. Aside from a few basic restrictions, there are no strings attached to this offer. Having said that, here are the few strings:

1) It should be scheduled between November and March.

We live in Minneapolis. This Nov – Mar period could accurately be called our off-season. So sure, we’ll shoot your wedding for free! As long as you meet requirement #2, which is:

2) It should be someplace WARM and not in Minnesota!

In Minnesota, between November and March, it’s probably wet and cold outside. Let’s get away to Florida or Cancun or New Zealand or something. Work with us here. Sunny and warm. You probably want that too, right? We’re willing to consider not-so-warm locations as long as they are, well, cool. Venice during Carnival? Sure. NYC on New Years Eve? Okay. Paris in the springtime? Absolutely. And finally, requirement #3:

3) You cover the COST of travel, accommodations and the meals and a small perdeum for drinks. We do the rest.

Airplane tickets, a hotel and some food. Any associated transportation, to-and-from. Tips for the bellhops and waiters. That’s it! Well-rested, excited photographers will give you REALLY good photographs. That’s all you have to cover, and we don’t mark it up with bogus “day rates” or first-class fares. Get us there, put us up at your hotel and we are ready to rock. We’ll probably need 4 or 5 nights accommodations, depending on the scope of the project. If we stay longer, it’s on our dime. Update we now charge a minimum of $1500.00 for the four days of coverage.

Is it really that simple?

Yes it is. Look, we’ve done destination weddings, and they are always beautiful. But sometimes, frankly, it’s a stretch for our clients to be able to fly two professional photographers to the Caribbean and to pay full price for the photography package. So this is a pretty good deal. And there are other benefits too:

• Destination weddings don’t have the same time restrictions as our regular packages. In other words, we’ll be at your disposal for the rehearsal AND all the way through the wedding. The day after the wedding, if you’d like to go out and get some “extra” portraits (on the beach…under a waterfall… on a jet ski…top of the Eiffel Tower) without having to worry about your dress, WE’RE THERE!!!

• If you live in Minneapolis but wish to have a destination wedding, it will be much easier to do all of your post-production wedding album stuff with us a local photography studio. (If you live outside of Minneapolis, then ignore this point. We’re easy to work with regardless of your home base.)

• With Andrews Photography you won’t be stuck with some cheesy, unknown, in-house, trainee STAFF photographer shooting your lovely wedding! Wouldn’t it be better to retain the services of a known and trusted company? These are your WEDDING photos, after all.

Help us to help you! Let’s go to France. Or to Cancun. Or even Sydney, or perhaps Tahiti. Think of how fun it will be!

Five openings each year. They fill up fast. Call today: 651.292.9242 We have our passports ready Contact at Rwphoto@earthlink.net
